Hypersensitivity

Hypersensitivity (also called hypersensitivity reaction) refers to undesirable reactions produced by the normal immune system. These reactions may be damaging, uncomfortable, or occasionally fatal. Hypersensitivity reactions require a pre-sensitized (immune) state of the host. The four-group classification was expounded by P. H. G. Gell and Robin Coombs in 1963.

What would cause hypersensitivity to alcohol and a hangover after just having a drink or two.?
Q. What would cause someone to have a hangover after having one or two drinks? My wife has developed this problem lately. She has been diagnosed with GERD and was a heavy drinker in college. However, these days if she has more than one drink she has a big hangover (nausea, headache, weakness) the next day. Is there another possible cause?
