Lemniscus (Anatomy) Information
A lemniscus (Greek for ribbon or band[1]) is an anatomic term. It can refer to:
- In anatomy, a part of the brain, such as the medial lemniscus or lateral lemniscus. It is associated with the "What" pathway of the lateral lemniscal pathway, as in identifying where a sound is located.
lemniscus : is a bundle of secondary sensory fibers within the brain stem which terminates in specific relay nuclei of the diencephalon
