Q. My landlord does not take kindly to cigarette smoke... is there anything I can seal my door with or anything I can do to eliminate the problem... please no stop smoking cigs comments or I will report abuse hmmm I like these comments thanks a bunch! I want to try the nil candles... but what about somthing to put on the door? is there anything I can attach so smoke does'nt seep out? They live right across the hall : P

A. You can get this little bottle called nil odour you only need 3 drops and its sooo strong eliminates every smell insight or get a shallow bowl and place about 3/4 full of white or cider vinegar in the room where the scent is strongest Use several bowls is the smell permeates your enitre home. Or for instant removal get a cloth moisten with vingear and wave it around the room for abit will vanish very fast.

As a supervisor, how should an obtrusive odor control problem be met in a professional manner?
Q. One of our best employees consistently enters our office with a very distinct and obtrusive odor control problem. Typing a letter addressing this issue is extremely difficult. Please help!

A. Do you have to type a letter? I have 25 years experience in management and I found the best way is being open and honest. Yes, it will be uncomfortable at first, but you will feel better when it is over. This is how I address issues...you would like to inform your employee about all the good things you like about them, and be honest about it. If it is possible,be specific. Talk about areas that they are exceptional in. Then you tell them that you need to discuss something that you and others have notice and that it's a subject that is rather uncomfortable discussing. Tell this person what the problem is, and work out a solution. Research solutions to this problem and be ready to offer them. Addressing a problem without solutions… [cont.]

A. dog "spray" by that if you mean the nasty smell they have if you scare them badly or if you hug them too tight?...it's the anal glands expressing...surgery can remove them, but it's costly. AND if you mean in the urine...there's things the Vet can prescribe that will control it to some degree
