What soy products provide the most isoflavones with the least amount of gas/acid?
Q. I have found that soy products are helping to minimize my hot flashes, especially soy nuts. But the soy nuts are also bringing on constant indigestion. Other products like soymilk and soycheese don't seem to do the trick. So now I am trying different tofu products. Any suggestions?

A. Hello...As a vegan, I eat a lot of soy (& whey) products. There is something I found that perhaps you could look into getting, which are soy isoflavones...Check this page out here, that explains all about it: *Also, here's some info on how to reduce gas, and which types of food cause it:

What products should I use for a durable faux finish on a bathroom counter?
Q. I am helping my friend redo her bathroom. She doesn't have money for a new counter top, so I want to do a faux marble finish on it. The counter top is your average man-made fake stuff. I want to make sure I use the right type of products that will be durable, that won't chip, and waterproof of course. I like the faux white marble finish with grey veins in it.

A. I did lots of research on exactly this project. But first, heres how I made a fuax-stone desktop Got a 6 foot white formica countertop from hardware store for $35. I used acrylic paint I had laying around, sponged on various colors in ong streaks, working fast while its all wet. Then used a fake plant with lots of end, dipped it in black paint, and ran it across the whole thing. Then varnished 3 coats (I used glossy). Its now absolutely gorgeous desk and everyone loves it. So I explored doing it to a kitchen, and here's what I found. First, the technique works fine, but you'd have to prime the shiny/smooth formicas. The problem is in finishing them. Regular varnish is toxic so you don't want it around food. There is a product called 'sala [cont.]

What are some products or services that could use a revamping?
Q. In my one class, our next project is to come up with a little advertising campaign for a product or service that we think either has a bad logo or could just use a better ad campaign in general. I've noticed many products or things like this in the past but right now I'm completely drawing a blank. Any ideas?

A. I think Geico, personally. I HATE their commercials and i don't care if they can save me money, i would refuse to get my car insurance there just because their ads are so stupid. What about OxyClean or ShamWow? Do you think they are marketed well.
